How Does a DIY Kaleidoscope Work?

Before we start building, let's talk a little bit about how a kaleidoscope works. How to make a DIY kaleidoscope?

❤ If you are planning on painting your cardboard tube, do that first.
1. Add beads and sequins on top of the clear plastic lid! Then cover with transparent plastic lens and acrylic lens.
2. Line up your 3 mirrors, leave a tiny space between each one. (Place the shiniest / least scratched sides face down.) Tape them together over the spaces. Fold the taped mirrirs into a triangular prism and tape along the top to hold in place.
This should fit snuggly inside your cardboard tube.
3. Stick the wrappig paper or your designed paper on the paper tube.
4. Install the others plastic lids at both ends of the paper tube.
5. Look into your kaleidoscope and explore all the reflections created by your design!
